Summer Bucket List — Keeping Kids From Being Bored

Summer may be a time to relax, but tell that to kids who are bouncing off the walls or saying “I’m bored.” We want to make summer fun and memorable, but may be looking for some new ideas.

Here are a few ideas to get you started this summer with some kid-friendly activities.

Bake cookies for ice cream sandwiches
Visit a farmer’s market
Have a picnic at a park or in your own backyard
Write and illustrate your own book and have it published into an actual hardcover book using IlluStory
Make homemade pizza
Have a water balloon fight
Go biking on a trail
Plant a garden
Have an outdoor painting party using huge canvases or cardboard

Go for a walk and then make a collage from nature objects you find along the way
Decorate your walkways with chalk
Plant a butterfly garden
