Must Visit In Waukesha County

Here are so many interesting and exciting places to discover in the Waukesha area.  Below are just a few suggestions to consider offering a variety of activities  Many within the area host an array of events scheduled throughout the season.  Please click on links provided for detailed information.

Lapham Peak.  Located in the Delafield Kettle Moraine State Forest.  There are many activities to partake in.  Lapham Peak offers beautiful trails to walk, bike, hike, or rollerblade.  If you like to climb, there is a 45 ft. observation tower bringing you to the highest point within Waukesha County.  Visit their web page for a complete list of hours and admission rates.

Frame Park.  Check out Frame Park and visit the historic springs, beautiful formal gardens, large playground, and paved trail to enjoy biking, running, or rollerblading. You can rent a variety of equipment such as boats, tandem bikes, and surreys in several sizes large enough for families of 10 with multiple attachments available – all at High Roller Fun.  

Retzer Nature Center.  All year round there are new things to discover.  Enjoy nature trails, prairie and wildlife viewing, or visit the learning center and planetarium- travel through the solar system to distant galaxies.  Visit the Retzner Nature Center and discover the many activities available.

Minooka Park.   Visit the largest park in Waukesha County.  This park features a beach, archery range, sled hill, dog run, and beautiful wooded trails.  Visit Minooka Park for hours and fees.

Ten Chimneys.  An estate lovingly created by Broadway legends.  Be welcome without the ropes and barriers of your typical museum.  Visit Ten Chimneys and discover why it is more than just a great museum.  

Lake Country Rotary Splash Pad.  Located in Hartland, this kids seasonal outdoor spray park has water play equipment and sprinklers on a concrete pad.  Bring snacks and enjoy some time as the kids cool off this summer at the Splash Pad.  Visit Lake Country Rotary Splash Pad for hours and directions.
