Meet the Northwest Indiana Team

I am a United States Marine. I enlisted in December 1975. Started boot camp August 1976. Ended my enlistment at the rank of Sargent in December 1981.

I grew up on Long Island and moved to Chicago in 1980 for a job in the budding Cable TV Business. I eventually started my own business In the cable industry. I migrated to the Electrical Contracting business. I was introduced to Mosquito Squad due to a relationship with a sister company at the time.

I’m proud of the fact we started with one territory and one truck. We have grown to 18 territories and close to 100 trucks in 3 states.

The favorite part of my job is to create and environment where our employees can do their job efficiently and enjoy doing what they do. We try to create a family oriented environment.

Don Quaid is an entrepreneur and business leader with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and creating impactful solutions. With a background in blue and white collar positions, he has successfully built and scaled multiple businesses, focusing on the customers wants and needs and promoting new ways of thinking.

He is the co-owner of Mosquito Squad Chicago/Michigan as well as RTS and MBI Tools. He has been fortunate to have grown other companies in his career, two of which have sold in the past year. Don leads his companies with much success and has been able to forge lasting business relationships with customers, employees and vendors.

Beyond business, Don is passionate about working out and goes to a cross-fit gym 4-5 days a week. He spends quality time with family and friends as much as possible. Cars have always been a hobby as well. Fairly recently he started learning and investing into cryptocurrency.

"I have enjoyed working for Mosquito Squad Chicago since 2014.  I began as a Technician, but have spent the last 9 years ensuring that all of our technology is operating at it's best.  When I'm not working, I enjoy baking, working on cars and tinkering with gadgets."

I started with Mosquito Squad as an Applicator in 2021. After the first season I was promoted to Site Supervisior. My responsibilites included overseeing new applicators. The following season I became deeply involved in then training of new Employees. Currently my responsibilites include the routing of daily routes, managing the dispatch department and managing the site Supervisiors to supervise the technicians. 

As a Lead Supervisor and Lead Pest Technician, I bring extensive experience in supervising a team and ensuring top-notch pest control services. With a strong focus on leadership and efficiency, I oversee our technicians, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. My focus is to deliver effective services and create a positive work environment for our technicians. 

I have been Mosquito Squad’s Controller since 2019, overseeing the Accounting and Human Resources Departments. Other responsibilities include financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and treasury functions, and I assist with management decisions affecting the stability, growth, and health of the organization.

I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy from DePaul University. As a CPA, I have held senior management roles in public accounting and in numerous private companies for over 25 years. I can often be overheard telling others that my role at Mosquito Squad has been my career favorite, in no small part due to the people and culture.

When not working, I enjoy my growing family and circle of friends, live music, traveling, experimental cooking, and container gardening.

With over 20 years of experience, I am a Senior Accounting Professional with a strong track record across diverse industries. My expertise includes GAAP reporting and managerial accounting, with a demonstrated ability to manage and streamline financial processes. I am committed to enhancing financial controls, improving operational efficiency, and leading teams to success.

Throughout my career, I have consistently delivered results in financial management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, while also driving cost-saving initiatives and improving internal controls. I have successfully managed accounting functions, financial reporting, tax filings, and audit coordination, while mentoring and developing high-performing teams. My technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Payroll, and ERP systems, combined with my strategic approach to accounting, positions me as a valuable asset to the Mosquito Squad organization.

Starting at Mosquito Squad has been an exciting change in my career.  This company is like no other that I have spent time at and I am anxious to get to know the staff and customers.

Most recently, I worked as a Human Resources Coordinator for a small nonprofit senior living home on the south side of Chicago.   I was there for ten years in all different capacities and really enjoyed my time with my fellow employees as well as the fantastic residents.  I learned so much about business and about myself while working there.  Prior to this position, I was fortunate to be able to stay home to raise my family. I babysat out of our home and made crafts to financially contribute to the household.  I also had a small business that was called Fancy That! for a number of years. It was a traveling dress up tea party for little girl’s birthdays or other celebrations. It was a great side gig that also let me recycle all my old prom and bridesmaid dresses that my friends and I accumulated over the years. 

I recently graduated from Governor’s State University and am anxious to start my master’s program there this summer.  I never thought I would be a person who enjoys class, but I really do!

I have four kids, Erin, Mickey, Conor & Brigid and a great pooch, Bailey.  My kids are all older now, but I raised them on the southside of Chicago where I still reside.  I love live music, crafting and spending time with family and friends. 

With six years of experience at Mosquito Squad, I specialize in sales and customer service, helping clients find effective solutions to their pest concerns. What I enjoy most about working here is the strong sense of teamwork and family that drives everything we do. Outside of work, I’m passionate about sports, traveling, and hiking, always up for new adventures. I find joy in connecting with people every day, ensuring they receive the best service possible for their pest control needs.

I work in the accounting department at Mosquito Squad assisting in the accuracy and efficiency of the financial processes performing accounts payable and accounts receivable duties. I have been a part of the organization for 2 and a half years starting in customer service which helped me to gain a strong understanding of operations and customer needs. Outside of work, I enjoy family time and pursuing personal interests.
