Meet the New Owner for Mosquito Squad of North Central Minnesota

A welcome note from Rick Poquette, the new owner of Mosquito Squad;

Over the past several weeks Mosquito Squad of North Central Minnesota has undergone an ownership change, and I wanted to reach out to our fantastic customers to introduce myself. My name is Rick Poquette, and I have acquired the business from the previous owner Buzz Holznagel, who has been an absolute pleasure to work with over the last few years.

A little bit about myself;

I have worked with the Mosquito Squad business in various positions since 2007. Starting off as a technician and operations manager in the Twin Cities Mosquito Squad office, I worked with that location for 7 years performing over 5,000 residential and commercial treatments. During that period, I also studied Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where I met my girlfriend Pamela Leuer. In late 2013, I was given the opportunity to join the corporate team at Outdoor Living Brands to work under the Mosquito Squad branch in Richmond, VA. I accepted, so Pamela and I decided to make the big move out east, where she was also hired with the corporate office.

As an Operations Consultant at the corporate Mosquito Squad office, I was responsible for training and introducing new franchisees to the Mosquito Squad system, as well as supporting and coaching existing franchisees to help overcome any issues that arose. In this position, I worked with Buzz as well as 50+ other franchisees across the United States. This position was extremely gratifying and provided me with the unique position to see how Mosquito Squad locations operate.

Pamela has had the opportunity to work with many Mosquito Squad franchisees, as well as franchisees from our three sister brands under the Outdoor Living Brands umbrella. She continues to work remotely with these franchisees, supporting online marketing efforts and providing a tremendous amount of value to their online presence!

I am very excited to continue providing excellent customer service along with Shelli and Rhonda in the office, who I am lucky enough to keep on the team. We are also a bringing back a majority of the technicians that have provided great protection for you and your family over the last several seasons. I look forward to continue the strong relationship that Buzz and I have created as he transitions into a support consultation role at the corporate office.
