Beef Month in the Bluegrass
Posted by Mosquito SquadDecember 20, 2023
Being family owned and operated locally here in Central Kentucky means we care about supporting local businesses. Keeping revenue in Kentucky is always beneficial to our economy. Sponsoring local sports teams and school events has been something we at Mosquito Squad participate in often.
We love taking care of our community in the Bluegrass and we also know how important it is to give back where we can. We are partnered with Malaria No More and match any of our customers donations dollar for dollar. Each season we schedule here in Central Kentucky, we automatically donate $1.
Buy Local, Grill Local
May is National Beef Month and an easy way to give back to Kentucky’s economy right now is to buy beef locally. Our Agricultural Commissioner Dr. Ryan Quarles encourages us to honor Beef Month by joining him and “throwing some locally-sourced burgers on their backyard grills”.
Although we are no beef experts, we are the mosquito control experts here in Lexington, Kentucky. To grill comfortably in our backyards like our Commissioner recommends, we advise preventing your yard from being the preferred site for annoying mosquitoes. Our barrier can help prevent those itchy bites.
April Showers Brings May... Showers?
It feels like the rainy season has extended to May in Central Kentucky, leaving us with less backyard grilling time and more mosquito breeding sites. Our trained technicians will always inspect the property for any standing water that can help breed mosquitoes. This is the most preventative solution available for mosquito repellent.
Make sure after grilling this season to bring in any containers that can hold water and assist the mosquitoes. When the rain stops and we are ready to get back to grilling, the last thing we want is a mosquito infestation awaiting outside. Stay ahead of the mosquitoes this year.
