Before misting your home, a Mosquito Squad representative has a short phone chat with you, asking some basic questions about your property and the event. Our knowledgeable team is always willing to answer any questions you have, too. Once you know what treatment plan you want, we schedule an appointment 24-72 hours before the event. We're quite flexible when it comes to scheduling, but it's important that we're able to work at least one day before the event, so the solution we use fully dries and doesn't cause any contamination issues with the dinnerware or food.
As we mentioned before, we can work while you're not home. If you're away from the house, we leave a notice of completion so that you know when we were there. The treatment process is fast, and in most situations, we finish misting in 15-20 minutes. The reason we can promptly finish the job is that we locate areas in your yard where mosquitoes feed and gather, which reduces the number of areas we have to mist. We also mist our time-released, EPA-registered solution on all foliage. After misting, we find all mosquito, tick, and other pest breeding areas, and then we treat or remove them for excellent results.

Keep in mind that it's a gentler option than our traditional product, so it's slightly less effective. After a mist treatment, expect a 65-80 percent reduction in mosquitoes and other pests. Our solution uses essential oils, which give off a moderate botanical scent for 2-4 hours after application. However, 24 hours after application, you shouldn't be able to smell the solution at all.
