South Carolina’s First Human Case of West Nile Virus This Year

In July, we reported that West Nile Virus is on the rise in South Carolina and that they were finding it in mosquito pools back then. History shows that once it shows up in mosquitoes for the summer, a human case is sure to follow.

And it did.

A person in Pee Dee became the first human case of West Nile virus in South Carolina this summer.

Watch for West Nile Symptoms

Now is the part of the year where you must watch for symptoms of West Nile virus so you can receive medical help if needed.
