(978) 381-4028Ticks. Just the word can make a person shudder. Especially here in New England, where Lyme disease is more prevalent than anywhere else in the country. In fact, between 2000-2016, Middlesex County had 8,395 confirmed cases of Lyme, and it estimated that the real number was ten times as many, because most cases go unreported. Lyme disease got so bad here in 2015 that it was officially declared an epidemic in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, while Lyme is the most common, it’s definitely not the only tick-borne disease we need to watch out for. Some are much scarier, like Babesiosis, of which Middlesex County was declared a hot spot, and the rare, but fatal Powassan virus, which has been rising in our area.
So what’s a person to do? Nobody wants to see themselves or their loved ones get sick from a tick. The Massachusetts Health Department has some general information about ticks and tick-borne illnesses and how to check yourself for ticks which is good information to have, but wouldn’t you rather avoid these little monsters all together?
That’s when you call the pros at Mosquito Squad of Massachusetts.
Not only does Mosquito Squad help eliminate up to 90% of mosquitoes with our specially formulated barrier treatment, our same micro encapsulated solution eliminates up to 90% of adult ticks on contact, too. That’s pretty powerful as it is, but when it comes to Groton MA tick control, we kick it up a notch to protect you and your loved ones from these little suckers.
We start by doing the same barrier treatment process that we use for mosquito control, walking the perimeter of your yard distributing our special mosquito and tick-eliminating formula to treat all surfaces (excluding flowering plants) like shrubbery, foliage, around and underneath decks and patios, and especially tall grass. We give special attention to the tall grassy areas on your property for Groton MA tick control since that’s where ticks like to hang out, resting, breeding, and . . . feeding. It’s our top priority to make sure you’re not on the menu!
Since our barrier treatment formula is time released, it eliminates ticks and mosquitoes for three weeks before needing reapplication. This way it also prevents future ticks by stopping their eggs from hatching, which puts a halt to the population cycle.
Not a problem. That’s why we developed our naturalbarrier treatment formula, with essential oils at its base. Our natural solution acts more like a repellent than an eliminator, “chasing” the mosquitoes and ticks out of your yard. Also time-released, we recommend re-treating with this solution every three weeks. Most customers notice a reduction in yard pests anywhere between 80-85%.
Mosquito Squad firmly believes in and stands behind all its services and products, but if there’s any reason you’re not happy, we’re not happy, either. So let us know within 21 days of your treatment and we will re-treat your property at no cost to you. We’re in the business of repelling and eliminating ticks and mosquitoes, not customers, so call us today!
